Search is changing. Your customers are asking AI who to choose.

More customers now use tools such as ChatGPT and Google AI to research businesses, compare services and decide who to contact. Instead of a page of links, they get one written answer, and that answer usually names only a handful of businesses. If yours isn’t one of them, you may never get the click.

12%

of Australians say AI tools are now their main way of finding information online, up from 5% a year earlier

13.6million

Australians (58% of people aged 14+) use AI tools in an average four weeks

1billion+

weekly active users on ChatGPT

2.5billion+

monthly users of Google’s AI Overviews worldwide

The good news? AI search is still new. Businesses that get the foundations right now can build a presence in those answers while many competitors are still catching up.

Two ways we help: AI search visibility and AI advertising

There are two different ways to appear in AI tools. One is earned and one is paid. They work differently, so we manage them separately and report on them separately.

Earned

AI Search Visibility

Make your business easy for ChatGPT, Google’s AI and other assistants to find, understand and cite when customers ask. Some people call this GEO or AEO. We keep it in plain English.

Paid

AI Advertising

Run clearly labelled ads inside ChatGPT, and Google Ads built for the AI search era, so you reach customers now while your organic visibility builds.

Paying for ads doesn’t change what AI says about you.

OpenAI states that ads don’t influence ChatGPT’s answers, and Google shows ads only in dedicated, clearly labelled ad spaces. That’s why we treat earned and paid visibility as two different jobs.

AI Search Visibility: helping AI find, understand and trust your business

AI search visibility is the work of making your business easy for AI tools to find, understand and trust, so they are more likely to mention and link to you when customers ask questions. You may have heard it called GEO (generative engine optimisation) or AEO (answer engine optimisation). It builds on good SEO, then goes further: clear answers to real questions, consistent business details across the web, and a website that AI crawlers can actually read.

38%

Why ranking on Google isn’t enough any more

Ranking well still matters, because Google’s AI features draw on its search index. But it’s no longer the whole story. A 2026 Ahrefs study of 863,000 keywords found that just 38% of AI Overview citations came from pages ranking in Google’s top 10, down from 76% in mid-2025. To be cited, your content needs to be the clearest and most trustworthy answer, not just a high-ranking page.

What we do

01

AI visibility tracking

Each month we check real customer questions in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity, so you can see where you appear, where your competitors appear, and what’s changing.

02

Technical access for AI

We make sure the bots AI tools use to read websites can reach yours, including OpenAI’s OAI-SearchBot, Googlebot and Bingbot, and that your key pages are indexed in Google and Bing.

03

Answer-ready content

We rework your key pages so they answer customer questions clearly and directly, with facts and sources AI tools can quote.

04

Business details AI can trust

We make your name, address, services and contact details match across your website, Google Business Profile and directories. We also add structured data (schema): a machine-readable label that tells search engines and AI tools exactly what your business is and does.

05

Mentions beyond your website

AI tools learn from what the rest of the web says about you, so we help you earn genuine mentions in relevant directories, industry lists, reviews and local media. In a 2025 Ahrefs study of 75,000 brands, web mentions were more closely linked to AI Overview visibility than backlinks were.

06

Plain-English reporting

A simple monthly report showing where you appear in AI answers, your AI referral traffic in Google Analytics, your AI Overviews and AI Mode impressions in Search Console, and what we’re doing next.

Nobody can guarantee a mention in ChatGPT or Google’s AI. Google says no special optimisation is needed for AI Overviews or AI Mode, and that the same SEO fundamentals apply: helpful, crawlable, trustworthy content. That’s exactly what we work on.

Best for: local services and trades, professional services, online stores and B2B businesses. It’s also the best place to start for health and allied health providers, who generally can’t advertise on ChatGPT in Australia yet.

AI Advertising: ChatGPT Ads and Google Ads for the AI search era

Ads let you reach people while they’re researching and deciding, straight away and within a budget you control. We run two kinds.

Paid · ChatGPT

ChatGPT Ads

Yes, Australian businesses can now advertise on ChatGPT. OpenAI’s ChatGPT Ads are available here through its self-serve Ads Manager, which OpenAI still describes as a beta. Ads appear below ChatGPT’s answer and are clearly labelled as sponsored. They’re shown to people using ChatGPT’s Free and Go plans and to people who aren’t logged in. Plus, Pro and business plans are ad-free. It’s a new and evolving platform: what’s available, who’s eligible and how targeting works can change, so we check what applies to your business before recommending it.

OpenAI’s minimum daily budget is currently A$25. Targeting starts at country level and, where OpenAI supports it, can be narrowed to regions, cities or postcodes.

What we do

Check eligibility and fit first.

Some industries, including health, financial and legal services, generally can’t advertise on ChatGPT outside the US yet, and ChatGPT Ads won’t suit every business or budget. We’ll tell you upfront.

Your account, your data.

Your business creates and owns the Ads Manager account (we’ll walk you through it), then invites us to manage it. OpenAI bills your ad spend to you directly.

Tracking that counts leads, not just clicks.

We install OpenAI’s pixel and Conversions API, so campaigns can be measured and optimised on real enquiries and sales.

The right campaign goal.

Pay per 1,000 views, pay per click, or optimise towards conversions. We’ll recommend what suits your budget.

Ads and landing pages that match.

We write the ads and build or improve the page they send people to. That’s everyday work for us.

Careful testing.

ChatGPT Ads are new, and OpenAI says there are no performance benchmarks yet. Every campaign starts as a structured test with a set budget, clear goals and a clear point to stop if it isn’t working.

How we work: check, strategy, implement, measure

An easy first step, then a plan sized to your business. No packages to pick from, no jargon to learn first.

1

Check

Free

Your free AI Visibility Check: an initial snapshot of where you appear across ChatGPT and Google AI, whether competitors appear where you don’t, the basic opportunities, the website and search signals that matter, and whether AI advertising could suit you.

2

Strategy

We talk through what the check found, your goals and your budget, and recommend the right mix for you: visibility work, advertising or both. You get a clear written proposal before anything starts.

3

Implement

We fix technical access, tracking and business details, improve your key pages, and set up and launch ads if they’re right for you.

4

Measure

Every month you see where you appear in AI answers, your AI referral traffic, leads and ad results, including Google’s Search Console data on how often you show up in AI Overviews and AI Mode.

Why work with TechNurture

One team across the whole journey

We don’t just buy ads or write content. We work across discovery, search and advertising, your website and landing pages, conversion, measurement and optimisation, so nothing falls between suppliers. Web design and development, WordPress, Shopify and e-commerce, SEO, Google Ads, analytics and tracking, landing pages, digital strategy and AI implementation: it’s all in-house.

Search and ads under one roof, kept separate

One team looks after both, so they work together. But we report on them separately, so you always know what’s earned and what’s paid.

Measurement first

Every plan starts with tracking set up properly, so you see real enquiries and sales, not vanity numbers.

Plain English, sized for small and medium businesses

No jargon, and work scoped to what your business actually needs: small enough to test before you commit, with nothing to buy until you’ve seen your free check.

Local

Based in Norwest, Sydney, and working with businesses right across Australia.

What we will promise you

A straight answer about where you stand.

A plain-English view of where you stand today, before anyone talks about spending.

Earned and paid, reported separately.

You always know what you’re paying for and what you’ve earned.

Tracking before ad spend.

Measurement is set up before we ask you to spend a dollar on ads.

An honest “not yet” when that’s the truth.

If this isn’t right for your business yet, we’ll say so.

What we won’t promise you

Guaranteed spots in AI answers.

Nobody can guarantee a mention in ChatGPT or Google’s AI. Anyone who promises one is guessing.

That ads will boost your organic AI visibility.

They won’t. OpenAI states that ads don’t influence ChatGPT’s answers.

Overnight results.

AI search visibility usually builds over months, not days.

Borrowed case studies.

ChatGPT Ads only arrived in Australia in 2026, so no agency has years of results yet. We’ll show you real data from your own campaigns instead.

Partner badges we don’t have.

We’re not an official partner of OpenAI or Microsoft, and we won’t suggest otherwise.

Who this service suits

This service is built for Australian small and medium businesses: owners, founders and marketing managers who already invest in a website, SEO, Google Ads, e-commerce or digital marketing, and want to understand where AI search fits before spending more. It suits local services and trades, professional services, online stores and B2B businesses. Health, NDIS and finance businesses are welcome for visibility work; advertising is more limited in those categories, and we’ll tell you where you stand.

Not a fit: businesses looking for guaranteed rankings, guaranteed AI mentions or overnight results. Nobody can honestly offer those.

What’s the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?

They overlap. SEO (search engine optimisation) helps you rank in search results. GEO (generative engine optimisation) and AEO (answer engine optimisation) are newer names for helping AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews understand, use and mention your business in their answers. AI search optimisation builds on strong SEO, so we do both together.

Yes. OpenAI opened ChatGPT Ads to Australian businesses in 2026, and you can buy them through its self-serve Ads Manager, which is still a beta. Ads show below ChatGPT’s answers, labelled as sponsored. Health, financial and legal services generally can’t advertise outside the US yet, so check your eligibility first.

No, and we’ll say so. ChatGPT Ads are new and still evolving: eligibility rules, targeting options and formats can change, and some categories can’t advertise yet. Whether it suits you depends on your business, your customers and your budget, which is why we check suitability first and start with a small test rather than a big commitment.

You set your own budget. You can pay per 1,000 views, pay per click, or optimise towards conversions, and OpenAI’s minimum daily budget is currently A$25. OpenAI says there are no performance benchmarks yet, so we start with a small, tracked test. Our management fee depends on the scope we agree in your proposal, and your ad spend is always paid to OpenAI directly.

No. OpenAI states that ads don’t influence ChatGPT’s answers. Ads run on separate systems, and advertisers can’t shape or rank responses. To show up in ChatGPT’s answers themselves, you need organic AI search optimisation.

There’s no way to pay for it, so it has to be earned. Make sure ChatGPT’s search crawler (OAI-SearchBot) isn’t blocked on your site, and that you’re indexed in major search engines such as Google and Bing. Then publish clear answers to customer questions, keep your business details consistent everywhere, and earn genuine mentions on trusted sites like directories, review platforms and industry lists.

Google says there are no special requirements. Your pages need to be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet in Google Search, and the usual fundamentals apply: helpful, reliable content and good technical SEO. Since late August 2026, Search Console also shows how often your site appears in AI Overviews and AI Mode, so you can measure progress.

Yes, because AI search builds on it. Google’s AI features draw on its search index, and ChatGPT searches the web to answer many questions. But ranking alone is no longer enough: Ahrefs found that just 38% of AI Overview citations came from top-10 pages in early 2026, down from 76% in mid-2025. You need strong SEO plus content and signals that AI tools trust.

Technical fixes and tracking can usually be done in the first few weeks. Being mentioned more often in AI answers builds over months, depending on your market and starting point. We report every month, so you can see what’s changing.

Yes. AI search optimisation suits these businesses well. Advertising is more limited: OpenAI generally prohibits health, financial and legal services ads outside the US, and Google doesn’t show ads in AI Overviews for sensitive categories like health and finance. Many NDIS services may count as health services, so we check each case in your free AI Visibility Check.

Yes. Your ChatGPT Ads and Google Ads accounts are set up in your business’s name, and you invite us to manage them. OpenAI or Google bills your ad spend to you directly, and you keep your accounts and data if you ever stop working with us.

It’s an initial snapshot, not a consulting project. We look at how ChatGPT and Google’s AI answer up to 10 of your customers’ questions today, whether up to 3 competitors appear where you don’t, whether AI crawlers can reach your site and what your key website and search signals look like, and whether AI advertising could suit your business. You get a short plain-English summary within 3 business days, with no obligation. It’s meant to start a useful conversation.

No. ChatGPT Ads are bought through OpenAI’s own Ads Manager, and we work from OpenAI’s official documentation and advertising policies, which we check regularly.
